Rajasthan Mahila Kalyan Mandal (RMKM), partner of Just Rights for Children, continues to strengthen community action towards making villages free from child marriage and child labour. During a visit to Helena village in Weir Block, RMKM’s Joint Director Mr. Anurag Saxena, Deputy Director Mr. Nanulal Prajapati and District Coordinator Ms. Tina Chaudhary were warmly welcomed by Sarpanch Mr. Deepesh Chaudhary and the villagers.
The Sarpanch administered a pledge to villagers against child marriage and child labour. The District Coordinator also held an awareness discussion with women on the physical, mental and economic consequences of these practices. Additionally, an awareness notice board highlighting the prohibition of child marriage and child labour was installed at the village temple.
The initiative reflects the importance of community participation and collective responsibility in protecting children's rights and building safer, child-friendly communities.
