About Us
Just Rights for Children (JRC) is a global civil society network advancing justice, protection and opportunity for every child.
JRC and its grassroots partners have worked across India to prevent violence, exploitation and child marriage by bringing the rule of law closer to children and communities. Our work connects children and families to their rights and entitlements, strengthens systems of protection, and mobilises communities to prevent harm before it happens.
Through a network of grassroots organisations across 782 districts, JRC has helped build one of India’s largest civil society movements for child protection. Our collective work has reached millions of people, mobilised communities at scale and demonstrated that when law, institutions and communities work together, child protection can move from response to prevention.
Our Vision
A just world where every child is protected, empowered and free to realise their full potential.
Our Mission
To make prevention fundamental to every child’s safety and prosperity by mobilising collective action, strengthening systems and advancing solutions that protect children.

Our experience in India has shown that lasting child protection cannot be achieved through enforcement alone. It requires a society equipped to prevent harm, institutions capable of responding, and a rule of law that works for every child.
From communities to institutions, from law to action, JRC is working to make child protection a reality for every child in India.
